“Many talk about climate protection. We’re taking action.” H. R. Rathgeber contributes to environmental conservation through green energy in three ways.

Since January 1, 2015, H. R. Rathgeber has switched to environmentally friendly green energy from renewable sources. The environmental partner is MVV Energie, which primarily sources green energy from Norwegian hydroelectric power. From an ecological perspective, hydroelectric power is considered one of the most environmentally friendly energy sources. The origin and quality of the green energy from MVV Energie are officially confirmed by the Freiburg Öko-Institut and TÜV SÜD.

The decision of H. R. Rathgeber was motivated, among other things, by the growing focus on climate protection discussions. According to recent studies, companies are increasingly expected to actively contribute to environmental protection. According to the survey, customers increasingly base their purchasing decisions on whether the manufacturer has an environmentally friendly reputation. Active environmental engagement is therefore not only an expression of ecological conviction but also has a positive impact on the company’s image.

With this decision, H. R. Rathgeber aims to raise awareness among its customers and partners about responsible environmental management and promote the demand for energy from renewable sources. “With the increasing demand for green energy, the expansion of facilities that generate electricity from renewable energy sources becomes necessary. Our goal should be to rely less on fossil fuels in the future and thus counteract the increasing scarcity of resources and the emission of climate-damaging CO2.
