Webbing for Automotive
Each of our webbings can be used in its basic form for the technical field. Thermal refinements, special processing procedures and their requirements, as well as specific application areas and their requirements, give it a special status.
This is where extended guidelines and documentation come into play, from development and sampling to production and warehouse logistics. The requirements of our OEM customers and their suppliers cannot be transferred to our entire product portfolio in detail. In the development phase, we already use the appropriate raw materials to achieve defined and necessary parameters of the finished product.
Standards, guidelines, and thermal refinements are important factors in price formation. These must be considered in the development phase. Long-term durations offer completely different possibilities for series production and further processing.
It is important for us to know all the necessary parameters of the end product as early as possible, starting from the first contact. A non-binding indicative price can be provided for initial calculations after all relevant data has been provided. This price indication at the development stage is merely a rough estimate and is generally non-binding. Price changes due to modified or supplemented standards and tolerances are a logical consequence.
Through special tools and machinery, we can create enormous efficiency in some cases. To assess what is technically possible in the textile field, you need a lot of experience – utilize our experience and involve us as soon as possible in the development process.
Cords for Automotive Applications
Pull loops, emergency releases, and tensioning systems are often operated using fine cords. Over the past few years, we have continuously built up our know-how in this area. Many successful samplings confirm our competence in this field – we are happy to collaborate with you in this area as well.
Please note:
Many past projects could not be optimally realized, or only with great effort, because we were brought on board too late. Often, webbing straps play a subordinate role in your procurement system. Therefore, you do not think early enough about their influence on your end product. That’s why: Call us as early as possible!
Furthermore, we develop webbing straps and belt systems every day – we know the possibilities that may not be apparent to you at first thought. We gladly offer our expertise! We are professionals in our field – you can rely on us.
Here’s how we proceed!
Send us all possible details about your product and its development – communicate with us about the required webbing strap. You can send us your documents by mail or email. If desired, we can provide you with a non-disclosure agreement – simply send it back signed along with your documents! In the first step, we will return the signed agreement to you.
Using computer support, we adjust our production lead times according to customer demand or agreed quantity arrangements.
We also provide optimized packaging upon request. You are welcome to provide your own load carriers. However, please note that we supply surface-sensitive materials, and we either reject or require proof of cleaning for contaminated and oily load carriers. Separate packaging within the load carrier contradicts the underlying concept.
We would be pleased to propose a packaging solution along with the offer, assuming our own packaging (disposable cartons) as a default.
How do we develop the suitable automotive belt?
To create an offer, we require a lot of information. This pertains to the performance of the finished belt or assembly as well as visual aspects. Here, we provide you with a list of potentially useful points. The more answers and specifications you can provide, the more effectively we can reach the goal.
Belt width, including possible tolerances Belt thickness, including possible tolerances Belt webbing color Material type Application area (trunk, headliner, seat construction, etc.) Required standards to meet Necessary chemical resistances (cleaning agents, acids) Durability, service life Possible elongation requirements Forces acting on the belt These points can also be applied to assembled belts, with additional considerations:
Cutting length(s), including necessary tolerances Finished sketches or drawings Required hole diameters, including tolerances Application forces on the belt during use Possible seam geometry Belt installation situations Required fittings Photos If you have already created finished samples, we will be happy to review them together and seek further improvements for your product.
Please don’t hesitate to call us – our representatives are always ready to assist you!
